With over 75 goalies attending this particular spring clinic over a three day period (2 clinics in Metro Detroit and 1 clinic in Grand Rapids, MI), the intensity is high this spring and goalies have quickly realized that stopping the puck isnt the only aspect of the game of goaltending.
Power skating and puck handling are two very critical areas of a goaltenders game. However, if these skills are never properly learned, a goaltender will always be a step behind especially with the overall speed of the game increasing year over year.
This clinic is specifically designed for goalies to understand and utilize the mechanics of: - edge work - shooting the puck - stick handling - agility and recover drills - conditioning
This specific clinic is one day a week, for four weeks. Each week progressively gets harder, making goalies understand the importance of stick handling, confidence while playing the puck and keeping that edge during the spring time to become a better goaltender in certain skill sets.
