A museum worker has cranked over the #1 engine on this one-of-a-kind unit.I was all but praying that this loco would be active today! The engine is a model 606SC. The SC stands for Super Charged. DT6-6-2000 can be broken down as follows: D=diesel T= transfer 6=axles 6=traction motors 2000=combined horse power of the two prime movers. The world needs to hear this sound. A Baldwin without a turbo sounds like an old tractor!
