EMS Week is celebrated nationally each May by the American College of Emergency Physicians. The theme of this year’s celebration is “EMS Strong”.

Pinellas County marks the 26th Annual Award for the Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic of the Year and the Fourth Annual Award for the Emergency Medical Dispatch Professional of the Year. These men and women best embody the theme of EMS Week 2015. They are EMS Strong. Emergency Medical Dispatcher Kathy Boucher, Emergency Medical Technician Tsambika “Sam” Aysh and Paramedic Josh Hoover were all honored at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners on May 5, 2015. This video introduces these emergency medical professionals and recognizes their award-winning efforts.
