Alumni, faculty, staff and students from throughout John Jay's proud 48-year history returned to their alma mater on March 27 for a festive reunion that featured a salute to the College's "Founding Generation."
The event began with a symposium to honor those who, in the words of President Jeremy Travis, "were present at the creation of John Jay in 1964, set the College on its path as a liberal arts institution, guided the College through the Open Admissions era and, most importantly, rallied to save John Jay from being closed during the fiscal crisis of the mid-1970s."
