Leading early childhood development and multicultural education expert, Patricia Ramsey, EdD, delivered the 2012 Thomas Wright Lecture on Monday, July 9, to a packed audience in the Donnelly Theater of the Heimbold Visual Arts Center on the Sarah Lawrence College campus. The Thomas Wright Lecture is the keynote address for CDI's Empowering Teachers program, which brings together teachers and educators for a week of professional development each summer.

Her talk, "Teaching and Learning in a Diverse and Inequitable World," presented by the College's Child Development Institute, attracted over 120 individuals from as far away as Washington DC and Baltimore, Maryland who joined local community members, educators, and the Sarah Lawrence College staff, faculty and students.
