ACHAARI KARELA (PICKLE FLAVOURED BITTER GOURD) II अचारी करेला II BY F3 BACHELORS COOKING II
Recipe to prepare "Achaari Karela", a healthy food for diabetic patients:
1. cooking oil - 1 table spoon
2. fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon
3. fennel seeds (saunf) - 1 tea spoon
4. onion seeds (kalaunji) - 1 tea spoon
5. onion - 3 medium bulblets
6. salt - to taste
7. turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
8. coriander powder - 1 tea spoon
9. red chilly powder - 1/2 tea spoon
10. bitter gourd (karela) - 250-300 grams
1. heat 1 table spoon cooking oil in a pan
2. add the following ingredients:
a. 1/2 tea spoon fenugreek seeds
b. 1 tea spoon fennel seeds (saunf)
c. 1 tea spoon onion seeds (kalaunji)
d. chopped onion (3 medium bulblets)
3. fry the onion
4. add sliced bitter gourd (250-300 grams)
5. mix it properly with other ingredients
6. add salt to taste
7. stir and cover the pan
8. stir the dish in every 1 minute till 5 minutes
9. add these spices:
a. 1 tea spoon turmeric powder
b. 1 tea spoon coriander powder
c. 1/2 tea spoon red chilly powder
10. mix and let the dish cook for a minute
11. put off the flame and serve it
