Pan Pan Theatre defies description with productions that are as much high art as they are high drama.
On November 10, 2011, The Dublin-based theater company will debut for US audiences their latest original work, The Rehearsal, Playing the Dane, on the NYU Skirball stage. It is a piece that excavates the text of Shakespeare's Hamlet, asking audiences to review an old classic with a renewed sense of discovery.
In this video, the NYU Skirball tech rehearsal of The Rehearsal is itself recorded, and Gavin Quinn shares his thoughts on the company's process and their reasons for taking on Hamlet.
