New Atkinson & Kirby Oak Parquet Block Floor Installation, in Chester, Cheshire...plus the restoration of adjoining original oak parquet floor.
The subfloor of this lovely Orangery had unfortunately been laid too low and needed raising so when the new parquet floor was installed there was a seamless transition between the two areas.
We decided to use construction grade plywood to build up the 24mm difference, the 18mm ply was bonded to the flat subfloor with the superb Lecol MS250 Plus adhesive, the next day 6mm plywood was glued and screwed on top of the 18mm plywood to give us the 24mm height difference.
We used the fabulous Wakol PU225 adhesive to stick both the 6mm plywood to the 18mm, and also to bond the parquet blocks to the plywood, this has made an incredibly strong floor overall, as you can see from the video, the finished floor looked pretty darn good...our client Jonathan was delighted with the overall project...
