Just after 1:00 a.m. the Wisconsin State Assembly passed the Budget Repair Bill as the Republican-controlled chamber used a procedural rule to bring an end to debate early, cutting off 15 speakers left in the queue. The vote was 51-17, with 28 members not voting before the roll was closed as Democrats protested. Four Republicans voted against the bill. They were, Kaufert, Nerison, Spanbauer, and Tranel.
