Today April 29th 2017, over 1600 Palestinian prisoners, many without charge are on day 13 of an open ended Hunger Strike, demanding basic human treatment based on international law. They can be held indefinitely without charge. Trials in military courts often use evidence only available to the prosecution. Most convictions occur through coerced plea bargains. Torture of adult and child prisoners is widespread.
As of April 2016, 692 people were held without charge, - some for years, under what the Israeli government call 'Administrative Detention'.
