This video process began with a discussion about images of fear, how it has become a tool used by the media to create barriers between people, because human beings fear what they do not know. The abaya and shayla, kandorah and gutra have been used as ingredients for the fear image. In America, terrorism has a face, and it is from some ambiguous place in the Middle East. By introducing the fear image to an audience, one can be familiarized with a person rather than a stereotype, thus dissolving fear through understanding.
