Doctor (123456789) - a parody of Tommy Tutone's song Jenny (867-5309)
This song tries to get everything you need to know about cardiovascular disease risk prevention into one song - no idea if it succeeds. Bottom line is you need to know your percent risk of heart attack/stroke with NO treatment VS your percent risk ON treatment and the chance of harm which includes side effects, cost and annoyance at measuring things all the time.

LYRICS:
Doctor, Doctor who can I turn to
Please give me something I can hold on to
I know I'm really not like the others before
I really want to know so much more

Doctor, I need some numbers
A rough idea is fine
Doctor is the benefit
12345678 or 9
Absolute numbers are really fine
12345678 or 9
Having all the information is quite divine

Doctor, Doctor, you say my blood pressure is high
Just tell me my chance of a stroke or an MI
I tried to ask you last time but I lost my nerve
You said I had the silent killer and that left me disturbed

Doctor thanks for the numbers
I can now make them mine
Doctor I know now if it's

123456789
Absolute numbers are really fine
123456789
Having all the information is quite divine

Doctor, Doctor, you say my cholesterol is out of whack
But what I really need to know is my chance of a heart attack
I've read this whole lipid thing maybe a bit of a myth
Most drugs have been less of a hit and more of a miss

Doctor thanks for the numbers
I can now make them mine
Doctor I know now if it's

123456789
Absolute numbers are really fine
123456789
Having all the information is quite divine

Doctor, Doctor, you say my blood sugar is raised
Is this just another test to make me feel crazed?
I know you really like all these surrogates
But just focusing on those is driving me nuts

Doctor thanks for the numbers
I can now make them mine
Doctor I know now if it's

123456789
Absolute numbers are really fine
123456789
Having all the information is quite divine
I got it, I got it
(I got it)
You gave me numbers I can use

I got it, I got it
(I got it)
Now I can really choose

Doctor thanks for the numbers
I can now make them mine
Doctor I know now if it's

123456789
Absolute numbers are really fine
123456789
Having all the information is quite divine

Doctor thanks for the numbers
I can now make them mine
Doctor I know now if it's

123456789
Absolute numbers are really fine
123456789
Having all the information is quite divine

Doctor, Doctor you're the one I turn to
Just give me your time
And I'll always turn to you
