Good Year Ultragrip ICE tires have been stripped to use as soles for tactical belleville or bates boots.

The sole (tire thread) was put on by Cordonnier Jim Mahoney at his shoe repair shop.

He first saw this in Nova Scotia where New Foundlanders were asking him to put tire grips on their boots to work on fishing boats.
