Light-filled, modern and centrally located, The London NYC manages to project an attitude both sophisticated and friendly. With Central Park, the Theater District and Columbus Circle each about five blocks from the hotel, guests traveling for business or pleasure can expect to enjoy an engaging yet hassle-free New York City vacation. Every room in The London is a spacious suite and a Michelin-starred chef helms all of the restaurants, yet staying at this New York hotel remains an excellent value.

Situated on West 54th Street in a bustling and stylish area of Midtown Manhattan, The London is a chic addition to the neighborhood. The large brick building, which has black accents and vibrantly green, modern landscaping, is known for its emphasis on style, inside and out. Interiors are the work of renowned designer David Collins, who brings his signature sophistication to the modern marble lobby, public spaces and accommodations. Suites run upward of 500 square feet and include a sleeping area and separate parlor space with a plush seating area and desk. Two-bedroom suites and a selection of luxury suites are also available, including apartments with city views, Atrium Suites with panoramic views of the Hudson River and Central Park, and the 2,500-square-foot London Penthouses, with bay windows overlooking the Manhattan skyline. All of the 562 rooms feature unique textures, elegant, custom-designed furniture and a tasteful color palette of blues, grays and silvers, sometimes accented with bright splashes of color. The bathrooms were custom-designed for The London, with double rain showerheads, hand-cut mosaic tiles and Clear brand toiletries. Mini bars, free WiFi, 32-inch flat screen televisions and iPod docking stations complete the tech-enhanced suites.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, famous for his television series, Hells Kitchen, and his Michelin-starred restaurants in London, oversees both dining and room service at the hotel. The fine dining eatery Gordon Ramsay at The London boasts two Michelin stars and a French-inspired menu. Its classic, 45-seat dining room is designed in shades of moss and sage green with rich wood paneling. Ramsays Maze, the hotels more casual eatery, serves pan-Asianinfluenced French cuisine. The London Bar serves breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.

The fitness center, London Club NYC, is open 24 hours. With oak flooring, wood paneling and windows, its uniquely luxurious. Cardio machines have individual televisions, and the gym features a trademark Kinesis Wall suitable for various movements and training programs. The concierge can arrange personal training sessions and in-room massages.

For cultural pursuits, the Museum of Modern Art is close by, as are the highly regarded Frick Collection and the International Center for Photography. The quintessential New York shopping opportunities in Midtown Manhattan are practically endless. The hotel concierge can inform you about performances at nearby Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera House and the Broadway Theater District.
