The year is 1998, the place Raccoon City, an idyllic community situated just south of the Arklay Mountains in a vague, unnamed state somewhere in the Midwest...and not inhabited by giant raccoons, as one might expect. Raccoon City has been stirred into a panic by a series of grisly murders in which the victim's corpses have been partially devoured. In response to the mounting number of violent awkward cannibalistic homicides in the region, the Police Department opt to send in one of their two S.T.A.R.S. teams, an elite group of individuals trained in "Special Tactics" And "Rescue Service," but unfortunately not in voice acting.

After Bravo team drops the ball, Alpha team discovers the Bravo helicopter has crashed and the pilot has been violently mauled. With luck on their side, a pack of angry, rotting Dobermans begin attacking Alpha team. Fleeing from the decomposing dogs, the surviving members—Jill Valentine and Christ Redfield—happen upon an expansive, abandoned, creepy mansion in the middle of the dark, spooky, dog-infested woods. Taking refuge, it's now up to them to discover what happened to Bravo team, unravel the mystery behind the murders plaguing Raccoon City, and of course, survive the nightlong onslaught of the walking dead
