Graffiti Research Lab Perth - Big Day Out Tour 2011 Jerrem Lynch and I (Steve Berrick) toured with Australia's Big Day Out Festival in January 2011. A mad dash of five cities (6 festivals) over three weeks. We kitted out a golf buggy with a rear projection screen, LightGraff (custom software built with openframeworks), an arduino control box and some nifty infrared drawing tools. Punters were coerced into tagging (or doodling whatever they wanted) on the buggy which was simultaneously projected up on a nearby tent or stage. For more info see our website www.grlperth.com We'll be posting full specs on the buggy rig and the source code once I clean it up a little. Much love to Ken from the Big Day Out, Miles and Dave from Muck-a-Mucks and everyone who came up, said hello and left their mark in light temporarily on a wall. Special thanks to Hurben, Shensing and SJK for painting up our van in Perth. Loving it! Also must mention the Lords of Lightning, Cubatron, Felix (sorry I pushed you in the pool) and Perth's prolific beat maker Diger Rokwell ( www.thecommunity.com.au/diger-rokwell ) for letting us use his track Aperthy.
