***Update 12/3/10*** Ron Santo passed away lastnight, he was a great, passionate person and a Cub legend. Also, I don't care what anyone says, he's a Hall of Famer. Rest In Peace Ron. The field of dreams has a pretty damn good third baseman now.
The famous 1998 Brant Brown call. The Chicago Cubs were beating the Milwaukee Brewers 7-0 entering the seventh inning before Milwaukee cut the Cubs' lead to 7-5. With the score still 7-5 going into the bottom of the ninth inning, Milwaukee loaded the bases. Cubs pitcher Rod Beck threw his next pitch and the Brewers' batter hit a fly ball to left that Cubs' left fielder Brant Brown would drop, costing the Cubs the game. Here's how color analyst Ron Santo reacted on the radio broadcast during the play...hahaha
