We have 4 laser machine options for hair removal allowing us to remain leading competitors in our area and providing us with a vast array of options for hair removal on all skin types and most hair colours.
Laser hair removal is far more effective and less painful than IPL and less Laser sessions are needed 6-8 sessions compared with IPL which can be over 12 sessions. Laser is recognised as the best permanent hair reduction treatment, the safest and is also the most cost effective.

We have 4 different Lasers to treat a variety of skin types, the Soprano XL which is pain free, Alexandrite, NDYAG and Duetto . All are effective in 6-8 treatments.

The Soprano XL has been a big hit at the Pulse Light Clinic London, as the pain free technology behind it allows for the most comfortable hair removal treatment on the market. Unlike our other lasers that use a Cryogen cooling system (gently cooling the skin as the laser beam is fired) the Soprano XL gently warms the skin slowly in a constant motion and because of this has been likened to a hot stone massage. The patient experiences no pain (hard to believe, I know), throughout the whole treatment. This is highly successful on all skin types from light to dark. The hair falls out noticeably quicker than with other laser hair removal systems and also the growth is stunted for longer, which means the treatments are spaced slightly further apart!

The NDYAG laser hair removal system allows us to treat darker skin types successively with reduced impact on the surface of the skin. The cooling system means its barely noticeable however more sensitive clients can feel the discomfort on areas such as the bikini.
The Alexandrite allows the clinic to treat fair hair that can be difficult to remove with more conventional lasers and can go quite high in strength to take hair that is nearly blond with very little pigment, for this to be successful however only caucasian and hispanic skin types can use this strength of laser.

The most successful areas for laser hair removal are underarms and bikini areas, this is because typically the hair in these areas is darker and thicker, making it easy for the laser to pick up the hair and thus reach the root. So if your considering laser treatment underarms is a great area to start, its £50 per session and if you shave your under arms daily, you will see a HUGE difference to your lifestyle!

Laser Hair Removal can also be used to augment acne treatments because in some patients, acne pustules are caused by bacteria which live in hair follicles. These occur mainly on the face, upper back and chest; a specialist practitioner can identify if a client has problematic follicles and may prescribe laser hair removal within the treatment program suited to that individual. Clients that have had laser hair removal on the affected areas tend to see a difference after a few treatments this is because all bacteria is killed by the laser light and once the hair has dropped out, it will not produce the same amount of sebum and the pore is less likely to get blocked and infected.
With treat many woman with PCO Syndrome (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) at the clinic as its the best method to get the excessive hair growth under control. However as there are so many more hair follicles on the face than other areas of the body, the number of treatments needed is more than 8 sessions and can take a few years depending on the severity and whether the body is continuing to produce a high amount of the male hormone, thus increasing hair growth on the cheeks, chin, upper lip and neck. This can be quite upsetting for those suffering with PCO Syndrome, and so here at the clinic we maintain privacy and provide the best information possible on keeping the condition under control.
Our practitioner Lucy at Pulse Light Clinic produced this video and treats many clients with various conditions, call now to book a free consultation with her 0207 283 8191.
Pulse Light Clinic would recommend which Laser would be best suited to each individual client upon consultation and may test several combinations to get you the best results. A free patch test and skin and hair analysis by the practitioner is essential.
