It's not often that I feature male clear vocals now that I think of it.
But 709sec did a pretty good job - and I like his voice quite a bit. It's energetic and relatively masculine while still being high which seems to be the norm for male Japanese vocalists. According to Sound Holic's web page, 709sec also did the arranging work for this arrange, and here again I have to compliment him, this arrange is pretty good stuff.
I really do love the fact that this arrange kicks off with a traditional Japanese flute and drums before the Rock-instruments set in at 0:18. The transition between these "segments" is flawless. Another thing I really like about this arrange is that the flute and drum don't vanish while they're engulfed by delicious Rock. The arrange as such actually has a nice anime-sque feeling to it. Well, that's a given since Faint Dream ~ Inanimate Dream is the tune that Kishida Kyoudan and the Akeboshi Rockets used for their brilliant YU-MU arrange, the same track that was used as opening for one of the first Touhou fanime. Aaaaand also, it's no secret that I adore Yuuka-sama's themes, so Sound Holic gets an extra star in my book :P
As for the audibility of the base tune, it's pretty easy to hear which is nice again.
