The former starting defensive end for the Green Bay Packers, Johnny Jolly faces an uncertain future with his October arrest -- his second arrest this year and third in four years -- on drug charges. Currently suspended from the NFL and facing a potentially lengthy jail term, Jolly speaks out in an interview with Outside the Lines, coming clean about his codeine addiction, sharing some of his darkest and loneliest moments while following his team's Super Bowl-winning season, and discussing his hopes for the future. Mark Fainaru-Wada reports

"I didn't want to be around anyone. I didn't want to answer no questions. And so I stayed in the room, just drunk, and watched." -- Johnny Jolly, on where he watched last February's Super Bowl

"My only friend was the codeine, and it kept me numb. It kept me from losing my mind. Me losing football is like me losing a loved one, or a bunch of loved ones, at one time." -- Jolly
