APPROPRIATE GEAR ONLY!

Welcome to the first of many videos on the amazing series and game Monster Hunter Tri! (Buy it)

In this video I go over the basics of my favourite and most used weapon type, the great sword. We then take on what's considered the first large monster of the game, the Great Jaggi!
The video's main purpose is to show each monster being defeated with appropriate gear, meaning only gear you can obtain before you meet the certain monster.

Played with the classic controller!

Gear Specs:

Weapon - Iron Sword +

Materials/Money needed for weapon:

5 Iron Ore
1950z

(You start the game with an Iron Sword in your equipment box, simply obtain 5 iron ore to upgrade the Iron Sword to the Iron Sword + at the blacksmith. Iron ore can be obtained in the moga woods in the more cave like areas or under water)

Attack (Raw damage): 336
Sharpness (How sharp the blade is, determing if you cut through or bounce off a certain part of a monster): Laregly Yellow
Status/Element (The status effect or elemental damage the weapon inflicts on the monster): N/A
Affinity (Crtical hit chance): 0%

Armor - Full Chainmail

Materials/Money needed for armor:

5 Iron Ore
2 Whetstone
2 Warm Pelt
1 Earth Crystal
1000z

Total Defense: 10
Slots: 4
Armor Skills:

Health +20
Combination +25%
Combination Pro
Fishing Expert

Resistances:

-5 Fire
-5 Water
+15 Ice
-5 Thunder
+5 Dragon

Talisman:

+10 Auto-guard

A really cheap and easy to make armor set and the +20 health is always nice! Though the Great Jaggi can be easily taken care of with out armor I think it's a great way to understand how making armor and armor skills work as they play a HUGE factor in your set up later on in the game!

If there's any monster, weapon or set up you would like to see demonstrated feel free to let me know! Monster Hunter Tri is an amazing game and I'd encourage anyone who wants a challenging yet rewarding experience to give it a try :)!
