This is the first test I did to get a full color hologram using the new kit from Litiholo. The object (three bottle caps) is supplied with the kit, thus, pretty fail proof: plane object, with the holo plate on top.

The green channel is almost invisible, but I do not know yet why. It may be that the green laser was too far away (not really, I tried later moving it closer in with no improvement), not enough power, not enough laser coherence/stability. I thought the absence of green might be due to different table stability needs for different wavelengths, since fringe spacing varies with wavelenght... but I do not think this is the case, since green is situated between red and blue in the visible spectrum, and those colors are ok...

EDIT: looking at other's lasers, it might well be that my laser is not providing enough power. See this photo (http://www.flickr.com/photos/theotoco...)

Still trying to figure this out.

To see photos and comments of the process go to my flickr albums (http://www.flickr.com/photos/theotoco...)...
