Made an experimental heatsink / housing for an 100W water cooled LED headlamp this weekend...
CNC Programs created with Estlcam: http://www.estlcam.com
At the beginning the part is glued to a wooden board with 5min epoxy glue. Basically bulletproof during milling as long as the part does not get too hot - which is also the trick to release it later: just heat it up...(the one I used gets soft at around 100°C but it depends on the product)
Machine: self built gantry type machine made from 120x80mm aluminum extrusions.
Spindle: 2.2kW "Chinese Spindle"
