Interior designer Kelli Ellis talks about the hot looks for Christmas 2011 and shows four inspiring schemes.

"As you know, homes have gone very neutral; lots of linens, taupes and grays, and therefore, Christmas is wide-open as far as the hot, new look.

And if you're thinking natural, think of natural elements: pine cones, bleached wood, laces, homemade looks; think of very neutral.

Odds are when you think of Christmas you think of reds, beautiful reds, so of course when we've got beiges and neutral backgrounds, you can always add red. Cream and red is hot this year. Take a look at these...

If you've gone neutral in your home and you have a favorite accent color like purple, which is really hot this year, then go ahead and carry those through to Christmas. Add your purples to your trees and your arrangements. Take a look at these ...

As always, traditional Christmas is big, and even bigger this year. We're going back to vintage, we're going back to the old Santas and we're going back to red and greens. So really enjoy -- take some cues from these great pictures.

Happy Holidays!"
