www.cigna.com | Wellness Tips from CIGNA's Health Advocate Series | Health information on the go - Tips for going online to get useful health information.
CIGNA Health Advocate Stacia offers some examples of online health information. For example, if you have diabetes and you're looking for support, you could go online to find an online diabetes forum to share thoughts with others. You could join a running group on Facebook to help train for a marathon, or get help losing weight by joining on online weight loss program. Doctors, hospitals, and health experts are all going online now, making it easier than ever to get useful health information, especially for people on the go.
However, Stacia cautions that you should ensure that your online source of health information is a reputable one. And check with your doctor first before starting an exercise or weight loss program to make sure it's right for you.
"Health Information on the Go" is the third in a six-part series of short videos featuring some simple but practical tips for healthier living from CIGNA health advocates. CIGNA employs a large team of health advocates who can answer questions and help people with a wide variety of health and wellness issues, such as stress management, weight loss, physical activity, sleep and nutrition.
