Timing belt idler pulley broke apart at only 46,885 miles causing timing to fail damage to cylinder head and pistons. Shop estimations around $2,500-$3,500 and Chevy says that they cant confirm that this is an issue unless inspected by a GM certified technician. I inspected this myself along with other techs and I have been a ASE certified tech for more than 8 years and been doing this kind of work for almost 14 years.
