Dr. Nazgol Ghandnoosh discusses recent research from the Sentencing Project that suggests that the American media overrepresents racial minorities as crime suspects—in a non-individualized and guilt-suggestive manner—and whites as crime victims.

Dr. Ghandnoosh remarks were part of the panel “Unreported: The Media’s Role in Fostering Racial Perceptions and What It Means for Criminal Justice Policy” during the ABA Criminal Justice Section’s Fall Institute on October 23 in Washington, D.C.
