'Putting the finger on the sore spot' A documentary film by Wemos & World Report
Language: English (inclusive English subtitles) Price: 7,50 Euro + postage
A documentary film on the health workers crisis in Africa Lack of equipment and medicines. Low salaries. Too few colleagues. Healthcare places heavy demands on health workers. The combination of a shortage of health workers and tight government budgets deprives many people of basic care.
Wemos in The Netherlands, Centre for Health Science and Social Research (CHESSORE) in Zambia and Consumer Information Network (CIN) in Kenya address the health workers crisis by exploring the causes of the crisis and putting the finger on the sore spot.
Sufficient health staff is pivotal to providing effective healthcare. Better policy coordination is required to create an efficient and well-staffed healthcare system. Wemos, CHESORE and CIN seek to stimulate donors and governments to find solutions to this problem.
