The video shows the forecasted tracks, expected wind speeds, and uncertainty cones from the official NOAA National Hurricane Center (NHC) model for every model forecast from the 2019-08-25 to 2019-09-05.
Parts of the track where there are no wind speed points indicate areas where the model indicated that the storm was expected to dissipate.
Dorian was the first major hurricane of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season, On Sept. 1, Dorian made landfall as a category 5 storm in the Bahamas causing widespread destruction. With sustained winds of 185 MPH, it is the strongest known tropical system to impact the Bahamas.
From there Dorian went on to ride up the East Coast of the United States with the greatest impact on the southern states of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
