The 2013 Polygon Xtrada 4.0 takes advantage of Shimano's technology, that trickles down with each subsequent model up grade. For example, in previous years you would have never seen a 9 speed cassette (27 gears in total) on a bike in this category, usually it would only be available in Deore and higher level components. This is the advantange of buying new, as Shimano constantly upgrades its gear componentry.

This technology in the Xtrada 4.0 makes it a very capable performer on the trail as well as around town. You'll benefit from the incredible range of gearing that the 27 speed system offers, together with hydraulic disc brakes from one of the most trusted names in braking systems - Tektro. Added to that is the finishing kit by Entity. Entity is Polygon's house brand for accessories, that is new for 2013 and it has been show cased on the Xtrada 4.0. The alloy components are machined beautifully, and are oversized to give optimum performance and reduced weight.

Lastly the pedals on this bike are VP Alloy pedals. Pedals, in general are often over looked in bike specifications, despite being one of the most vital parts on the bike. As one of only two constant contact points between the rider and the bike they provide a crucial transfer of power and feedback. As riders gain more experience it is one of the most commonly upgraded components, but a relief to see on the Xtrada 4.0 that they have already been well spec'd.
