Political Satire, 1903 - Film 2433

John Bull propaganda film, concerned with arguments over Free Trade versus Fair Trade.
. He sits by his fireplace hearth which has a sign saying 'Free Trade' over the top. Various caricatures of national stereotypes appear through a door, French, Russian, American, John Bull symbolically offers them seats around the hearth. Finally a man dressed like a bandit or Mexican comes through the door, tears down the 'Free Trade' sign and replaces it with one saying 'Fair Trade'. He and John Bull then take their seats after pushing the others out of the way.
