Selected for the political commercials project.
In this commercial first the violent statements by Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood are detailed, including speeches given by their political leader Mohamed Morsi, who has taken over as President of Egypt, so his threats to conquer Jerusalem on this video are now quite serious matters. The video then covers some of President Barack Obama's actions that seem to lend support to the Muslim Brotherhood. It is rumoured that originally this commercial was set for broadcast in October 2012 around when Morsi was invited to the White House, but its release was moved up due to the news frenzy around the 9/11/2012 terrorist attacks in Libya and the attack on the U.S. embassy in Cairo in which the U.S. flag was removed and the Al Qaeda flag raised.
Supporters of the Obama campaign contend that by engagement with enemies of the U.S. Obama can achieve peaceful coexistence. Detractors and supporters of Romney in the election contend this policy actually broadcasts American weakness, which tends to incite more Islamic violence. Tough issues to resolve and this advertisement by the Let Freedom Ring group is an advocacy piece on the topic.
