My 8 year old son and I set-up a ramp in our driveway for our 2003 Nikko Hummer H2 remote control toy. The Hummer is quite durable and can handle some pretty nasty spills, but I thought it would be asking too much for it to just jump off a ramp at 4 feet high.
After some trial and error, we rigged a two wheeled trash can with a propensity for falling over, so that it sat under the end of the ramp with a board protruding out of it to block the Hummer's flight and catch it in the bin. The best part of the engineering is that the trash can always tips over allowing the Hummer to spill out and continue on its way if it lands on its wheels.
The video is shot in HD using a Nikon Coolpix S8100 camera. I highly recommend both the Nikko remote control toy and the Nikon camera.
