Love this beat. I've wanted to write something to it for years but never got to it until now. One thing I decided to do was see if I could just wreck it for three minutes straight without any hooks or breaks. I also didn't record in segments and polish the vocals or anything. This is just a one take raw delivery except for the added punches. Please share if you like it!! Thank you

you better change your avatar mayne if you think it's a game
my motivation never changed still chasing the fame
give a damn about the brand hanging off of your chain
I only care about the talent coming out of your brain
I ain't focused on the car or that car next to it
all I want to know is that you got a passion for this music
kinda crazy how the money gets em wrapped up
but the contents is gonna go flat if it ain't capped up
the competition is a side-show act
instead of hating my sales worry about your own rack
give your ass a heart attack without stopping the beat
make you feel it in the floor like you're stomping your feet
got me wishing that I never signed on
to watch you sip on the syrup until the medicine's gone
if you don't care about your life why do i care about you?
that ain't nothing I respect but your music I do
so I'm at a crossroads and I'm quite surprised
proly bout to cut ties with the people that I idolized
not that they would even know or give a shit
not knowing I was someone that they spent many years with
screaming at me from a six by nine
subwoofers in the back tryin' to break my spine
at the time I was thinking that it might be me
one day getting burned to a blank CD
of some young, dumb kid trying to find his way
clinging on to every word that I have to say
thinking that he had the skill that would get him to the top
not guessing almost everything he makes will be a flop
it's all good cuz the joy is in creation
and all things come to those who stay patient
an education in Real World 101
as soon as you stop dreaming the fun's done
then there's nothing but a countdown left
I think I'll try to make a hit until my last breath
I'll come, I'll see, I'll conquer
from record sales to sold out concerts
I'm the only lonely man and slowly climbing to the peak
only growing for the fans and the asses in the seats
if you put me in the mix then I'll cook it with my heat
if you're an internet hater then you're mother fucking weak
since you don't like the way I put it on the mic
come on and hit the studio and put your money where you type
might've been a little deeper than you can go
but I'm praying for it every time my hands fold
what is it that steady pushes you to get up out of bed?
is it family, or the fetti, or the thoughts in your head?
I say put the bank on me we'll blacken the red
and put these lame weed-whackers back in the shed
don't you ever underestimate the flow that I bring
just because the last track you heard me trying to sing
I'm an artist and arguably I'm one of the smartest
but I'm also creative and I experiment regardless
so yeah I break out of the box
and it'll either dissapoint or knock you out of your socks
have you sayin' "on second hand" but not look at a clock
be a critic though you flow like a ship that's docked
if you think that I'm a gimmick then just swallow and finish
and get your ass out of my car I never wanted you in it
tryin' to pick the right window but they're all so tinted
want to own this moment but I guess I can only rent it
from the pages to the stages and the lights
coming up with rhymes every day and every night
my friends thinking that I must be high
when I decline an invite cuz I'm needing to write
but more important than being seen and partying
is making new music and something for my audience
get em and hit em and send em into a conniption
bend em and fit em and even split em in decision
maybe never wanted to show they enjoyed this
maybe mad when the DJ came to employ this
in a city where rappers are spitting every where you turn
collaboration is something we better all learn
the underground is like a big ass web
if we can keep it connected then we'll be catching big bread
break it into some pieces and put some creases in bills
get it popping and hopping and flying over some hills
of course it always looks good when it's on paper
sounds good now and fades out a day later
too many egos and very little open minds
so I keep my mouth shut and worry about mine
I just need to let it out and ventilate
put it on wax that's the way a rapper demonstrates
let it loose, and open up the barn door
bringing ball-point truth until you beg an encore
