http://www.newmexicoinfocus.org - The fight over national health care reform has moved from Congress to the courtroom. The outcome may well be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. But, plenty of people are still fighting for a different approach to health care reform: a single-payer system. One of those people is former Maryland Pediatrician Dr. Margaret Flowers.
An outspoken advocate, Dr. Flowers is still making her opinions heard as part of the group Physicians for a National Health Program. Dr. Flowers sits down with NMiF Correspondent Gwyneth Doland to talk about why she supports a single-payer system, and how her approach has changed in the face of those recent federal reforms.
Also ahead this week, New Mexico continues to have one of the highest rates of teen pregnancies in the nation. A national expert talks about the statistics and her group's efforts to stem the tide. Hear her interview with NMiF Correspondent Gwyneth Doland on NEW MEXICO IN FOCUS, a show that is involved, informed and in-depth.
