INTERVIEW -- BYRON YORK - Chief political correspondent, Washington Examiner

Bill Clinton To Have Major Role At Dem Convention. Former President Bill Clinton is being given a key role at the Democratic National Convention in September.
Romney aide loses cool, curses at press in Poland. (CNN) - The traveling press secretary for Mitt Romney lost his cool and cursed at reporters who attempted to ask questions of the Republican presidential candidate in a public plaza near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw Tuesday. After Romney paid his respects to Poland's war dead and shook hands with a small gathering of the nation's military veterans, the GOP contender walked approximately 100 yards away from the memorial as he chatted with Warsaw's mayor. As Romney made his way to his vehicle, reporters attempted to shout questions to the candidate. The former Massachusetts governor, who has answered only three questions from his traveling press corps during a week-long overseas trip, ignored the queries. When members of the press tried to ask Romney about some of the mishaps on his trip, his traveling press secretary Rick Gorka verbally dressed down reporters. NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..." Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect." Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize. Gorka's comments to the media came just hours before Romney's foreign policy speech in Warsaw.
Mitt Romney is in Warsaw where he's wrapping up his three-nation overseas tour today with a speech in the Polish capital. Yesterday Romney angered Palestinians by telling Jewish donors their culture is part of what has allowed them to be more economically successful than the Palestinians. Were these gaffes or is the media just portraying them as gaffes?
With President Obama's gaffes and bad economy -- why is he still tied with Romney in polls?
8am -- B The High Cost of Babysitters: How Much Do You Pay? Where Do You Find Them? Back in the day when TV was in its infancy and a gallon of gas cost much less than what a postage stamp does today, babysitters were lucky to have earned about 50 cents an hour. Oh, how the times have changed. According to UrbanSitter, a babysitter location website, the going rate nationally for child care services is $12.75 an hour, which makes anyone earning the minimum wage of $7.25 wonder what they're struggling for. UrbanSitter CEO Lynn Perkins says nannies and college grads with early childhood education experience can earn $15.50 per hour on average if they're located in the Northeast while those in northern California don't do badly for themselves either.

Perkins believes there's a reason for that in addition to higher incomes because in "the Northeast and in the Bay Area, you have many people who aren't originally from these areas, so fewer people have family they can turn to for child care support and they're more dependent on outside babysitters." Meanwhile, those parents who can't afford to pay steep hourly fees tend to get together with other families and essentially "bundle" their kids to be watched by one sitter so that even paying 30 percent more per child still comes out cheaper in the long run.
