Showing off a display made for counting down the 6 week build season until "bag and tag day" for FRC team 4976.

The display is powered by an ATMEGA328 microcontroller with the DS1307 real time clock for time keeping, and TLC5940 constant current driver chip for controlling the 64 individual LEDS.

Entire display is 48" × 12" and weighs about 3lbs. Runs on 12V DC and draws about 1A continuous.

The LED digits being used are each made up of 7 individual segments assembled into an aproximately 8" tall display. Decimal points of the digits are relocated to form the colons, separating values.
