My second title, "Ants" (in development), will pit a team of 8 (coop multi-player) aliens against swarms of vial insects (ants, probably more to come).
The game will launch on Xbox Indie marketplace, with a probable PC launch as well.
--- Main Features ---
Current features planned for launch
+ Hundreds of weapons and items to collect. This will include...
- Turrets !!!
- Movement enhancements (double jump, grappling hook, etc)
- Air Strikes (manned and unmanned)
- One of the "common" rocket launchers is a multi-shot homing missile that spawns combat drones upon detonation... to give you an idea of what I'm aiming for
+ An XP system involving attributes, talents, skills, etc.
- Unlock extra item slots to take more equipment with you
- Upgrade stats that affect just about every aspect of the game (your characters' walk speed, run speed, jump, roll, reload, accuracy, etc, etc)
+ As much comical content I can dream up and throw at it.
- Allies will badger each other throughout the campaign
- Short in-game video's during and in-between missions
- Some special weapons will do special things when used in special ways...
+ Destructible environment (blow up the buildings, essentially)
+ Several Difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane, WTF)
- Higher difficulties will not be just more health + more damage
- Ant's will start dodging rockets with barrel rolls, sneaking up on you, they may even bring in their own turrets and call in some air strikes, who knows
+ Several game modes (Campaign, Defense, Antback Jousting)
- The entire game will be 8 player coop, or solo'able. However, there may be some modes that are not quite coop per se (Antback Jousting)
--- Extra Features ---
If time permits, some additional features I would like to include are (but not limited to)
- Customizable / Build-able weapons (swap out heat seeking rockets for vampire shrapnel rockets)
- An Item / Armor system with randomized stats (+40 to strength, enable triple jumping, etc)
