The Marble Mountain Air Facility (MMAF) in Da Nang by so-called China Beach was an aviation facility used primarily by the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and served as home to Marine Aircraft Group 16, the 5th Special Forces Group and an assortment of other squadrons. Today, the beach side of the coastal road has a number of 5 star hotels, casinos and luxury villas under construction with the remains of the Marble Mountain Air Facility on the other side of the road.
