GPU technology. cuda based fft ocean wave model uses hardware tessellated for the ocean surface, cpu based bobbing cork algorithm for ship / ocean interaction. Other gpu technologies include geometry shaders used for particle smoke and wake expansion, displacement mapping to enhance model and terrain shaping, FBO based rendering for shadows and realtime reflections.technology that we have been showing in these videos for a while.
