On October 28, 2013, at 2:00 pm, an employee of WAWA located at 1707 Arch Street in Logan Circle was preparing for a shift change when he noticed an unknown male standing near the candy bar isle. When the employee grew suspicious of the suspect attempting to shoplift, the employee went from behind the counter to keep a watch on the suspect. The suspect then quickly concealed candy bars inside of his jacket and attempted to walk towards the rear of the store to the restroom. When the employee stopped the suspect he asked him to return the items and to leave the store he became aggressive toward the employee. When a second employee who pushed the suspect back he was punched with a closed fist by the suspect. After the altercation the suspect vandalized the store by knocking merchandise from the shelves onto the floor then fled east on Arch Street.

Suspect Description: Black male, 17-20 years-of-age, 5'5″-5'8″, 130 lbs, wearing a black sweat suit, with a black stripes on the sides and an orange backpack.
