Originally invented by Richard Waters, the waterphone contains a small amount of water which moves around inside the waterphone, and causes constant changes in pitch.

This particular waterphone was produced by a metal sculptor in New York City under the brand name "Aquasonic". It can now be purchased at: http://www.thewaterphone.com/ as well as http://gallery93.com/

We correctly call it the "waterphone" as the name rightfully reflects the name of it's original inventor, Richard Waters, and the fact that it uses water to help produce the strange etherial tones.

Watch as Thomas Grillo endures one minor technical difficulty after another as he attempts to demonstrate the Aquasonic Super Mondo Waterphone.
