ICYMI: OREA working to protect Ontario home owners.

Director Steve Kotan and VP of Public Affairs & Communications Matthew Thornton presenting to the Standing Committee on Social Policy on Bill 36, the Cannabis Statute Amendment Act, 2018.

As Chair Kotan says, “For those who argue that legal cannabis plants should be treated no differently than any other plant grown in the home – let me be clear.

These aren’t tomato plants.

They are a controlled substance. They can severely impact people’s health and growers typically use more water, electricity, heat, pesticides and humidity in the cultivation of cannabis then other garden variety plants."
