In 2015, a volunteer team of international natural builders and local traditional earthen builders will join together in Oaxaca, Mexico. We'll be rolling up our pant legs, taking off our shoes and getting dirty in an effort to
1.) build a home for a local Mixteca family,
2.) regenerate forest to reduce erosion in the region, and
3.) share natural and traditional earthen building techniques.
The project begins the last week of January, will take about 8 weeks to complete, and will cost us $8000 US (materials, tools, food for volunteers, place for volunteers to stay, and all are covered in this). One sweetly generous soul - thank you Alan from Bay Maples: California Landscapes! - has already offered to match dollar for dollar whatever we raise! Sooo, we need your help raising just $4000. Ready, set, go!
