Hear our Hon'ble Union Minister of State [MoS] (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal, and Renewable Energy, and MoS (Independent Charge) for Mines speak about his efforts while in office. Within the context of his attempts to electrify villages across India, he describes - amongst other things - his thoughts on Narendra Modi's leadership, changing the work-ethic of public-sector companies, and the need for accountability and transparency. Perhaps, more importantly, he also speaks about the responsibility that we have as educated, young citizens to improving our current circumstance.
This keynote address was made at the Harvard US-India Initiative (HUII) Conference in Mumbai in 2016. The aim of the conference is to inspire India's youth to deliberate, discuss, and debate the issues India currently faces, and in this undertaking begin the process of shaping the India of tomorrow.
