The Swept Protrusion command constructs a protrusion by extruding one or more cross sections along one or more paths. Use this command to construct complex features that blend smoothly from one shape to another shape. Solid Sweep is a feature that enables you to simulate cuts with an end mill, or the space that a moving part will occupy. Sometimes sweeping a 2D cross section along a path does not give you the type of geometry that you are looking for.
