Michael Vassar of The Singularity Institute, which brings rational analysis to the challenges facing humanity as we develop transformative technologies. Inspired by the science of human fallibility, we strive to correct the biases that run wild in standard futurism and philanthropy. Our annual Singularity Summit coordinates and educates scientists and other concerned individuals on these issues. Our Visting Fellows program gathers some of the world's most careful thinkers and prepares them to address these issues in their future careers while our Research Fellows engage in original research on topics ranging from human rationality and cognitive enhancement to foundational research in Artificial Intelligence.
