Arizona Meet of Champions Boys 1600

Billy Orman, senior, Tuba City High School, runs 4:05.29, breaking the 28 year old state record of 4:06.44 set in 1982by Jeff Cannada of Greenway. Multiple distance runners from around the state assisted Billy with setting the pace in the early laps including two excellent Brophy milers, Will Firth and Tommy Williams. Both of these runners immediately asked their coach to change them to this race from the 3200 when Billy asked if they would help him with this record attempt. And help him they did, pushing hard from the back - both runners also scored new PR's. Firth finished in second place with a time of 4:14.43. and Williams took third with a big PR of 4:15.56.
