194 Revelation 6:12-17 - The Wrath of the Lamb

Revelation 6:12-17 reveal the devastating results in the heavens and on earth when the "wrath of the Lamb" is directed against sinful mankind. In Chapter 6, we have had the four horsemen. The one who rode the white horse and had a bow; but, no arrows, is the Antichrist. He is the Deceiver. The second horseman rides the red horse of war as he "takes peace from the earth." The third horseman carries a pair of balances to illustrate that greed will be worse and poverty more crushing. There will be famine, and people will starve. That last rider rides the pale horse of Death, and the causes of death are enumerated. One fourth of the population of Planet Earth will die as a result of war (the sword), many will starve; and, where there is no food, the wild beasts will attack men. In Verses 12 to 17, we observe with John, earthquakes, eclipses of the sun, bloody moons, and falling stars. People will hide in the rocks and caves and they know very well that these are a result of God's judgment upon them.
