In the opening plenary session of Good Jobs, Green Jobs South — "Southern Strategies for Building Sustainable Communities and Jobs" — presenters discussed how labor, environmental and business partners can work together to revitalize southern communities through sustainable economic development.
The panel was moderated by Natalie Pawelski (Vice President of Carter Communications East), and the participants were Carlton Brown (Founding Partner and COO of Full Spectrum of New York, LLC), Louis Partain (Secretary Treasurer of the North Georgia Building and Construction Trades Council and the Vice President of the Georgia AFL-CIO), Mtamanika Youngblood (President and CEO of Sustainable Development Strategies, Inc.) and Larry Schwiger (President and Ceo of the National Wildlife Federation).
